Friday Night Funkin’ is a rhythm game where you play as Boyfriend, trying to prove your worth in a series of rap battles against different characters so you can stay with your girlfriend. The game is divided into “weeks,” and each week introduces a new set of songs and a new opponent. Here’s a brief overview of all the official weeks in the game:
- Week 1 – Daddy Dearest: This is the first week, where Boyfriend faces off against Girlfriend’s dad, Daddy Dearest, on a stage. The songs are “Bopeebo,” “Fresh,” and “DadBattle.”
- Week 2 – Spooky Month: In this Halloween-themed week, Boyfriend battles Skid and Pump, two spooky kids. The songs are “Spookeez,” “South,” and “Monster.”
- Week 3 – Pico: This week takes place on the roof of a building, where Boyfriend battles Pico, a hired hitman. The songs are “Pico,” “Philly Nice,” and “Blammed.”
- Week 4 – Mommy Must Murder: This week features a rap battle against Girlfriend’s mom, Mommy Mearest, inside a speeding limousine. The songs are “Satin Panties,” “High,” and “M.I.L.F.”
- Week 5 – Red Snow: Set in a mall during Christmas, Boyfriend battles against Daddy Dearest, Mommy Mearest, and a character called Monster. The songs are “Cocoa,” “Eggnog,” and “Winter Horrorland.”
- Week 6 – Hating Simulator ft. Moawling: This week has a unique pixel art style and takes place inside a dating simulator game. Boyfriend faces Senpai and Spirit in the songs “Senpai,” “Roses,” and “Thorns.”
- Week 7 – Tankman: Set in a military zone, Boyfriend battles Tankman. The songs are “Ugh,” “Guns,” and “Stress.” This week was released as a Newgrounds exclusive and caused the site to crash due to high traffic.
